Manifest del President del Parlament amb motiu del Dia Internacional de la Dansa

El passat dia 24 d’abril, amb motiu de la celebració del Dia Internacional de la Dansa, el president del Parlament de Catalunya, M.H. Ernest Benach va fer el manifest que va llegir a la plaça del Prim de Reus. Aquestes van ser les seves paraules:
L’Organització de les Nacions Unides ha proclamat aquest 2010 Any Internacional per a l’Apropament de les Cultures i ha designat la UNESCO per impulsar aquesta celebració, que promou l’intercanvi de coneixement i el diàleg entre els pobles. La celebració del Dia Internacional de la Dansa s’emmarca en les activitats que han de promoure aquest apropament entre cultures, i és que la dansa és un dels instruments més valuosos i eficaços per al diàleg i la cohesió social.
La dansa és un llenguatge internacional i com a tal arriba a totes les persones, siguin com siguin, vinguin d’on vinguin i creguin el que creguin. La dansa té el poder de l’energia, de la força, de la bellesa, del moviment; expressa idees i les transforma en activitat, en acció, i connecta les persones des del més profund, des de la seva ànima.
Molt sovint se senten veus que defineixen la dansa com la ventafocs de les arts escèniques a Catalunya, però sortir d’aquest atzucac és possible. La dansa és patrimoni, és cultura, és expressió individual i col·lectiva de les infinites formes de veure i viure la vida, i per això cal treballar per a la seva normalització i reconeixement, i entre tots podem aconseguir-ho.
Cal crear escola i fer-la accessible, cal crear un públic, espais propis, cal accedir als mitjans de comunicació i recollir la memòria de tot allò que s’ha fet fins ara perquè pugui servir de guia per aquells que s’inicien en aquest art. I és que, com en tants altres àmbits, i parafrasejant Joaquim Noguero, expert en arts escèniques: “A vegades va bé mirar enrere. Ni que sigui per comprovar que tampoc no hem corregut tant i que, a més a més, massa sovint i tot, amb tantes presses, ens ha anat caient part de l’equipatge pel camí i caldria recollir-lo alguna hora”.
I és així com vull acabar aquest manifest, recollint el missatge del que va ser un dels grans mestres de la dansa a Catalunya, per cert, descendent del Camp, Joan Magriñà. Unes paraules que el mestre i coreògraf aplicava a la dansa clàssica i que, en l’actualitat, poden fer-se extensives a moltes altres disciplines: “La dansa és quelcom més que una sèrie de cultura física; és quelcom superior a l’esport rítmic d’efectes plàstics, és un fenomen d’expansió íntima, irreprimible, comunicatiu, que serveix de camí per abastar el domini d’un art. És concretament, una gimnàstica de l’esperit”.
La dansa és molt més que una tècnica, molt més que un art, és una forma de veure, d’entendre i de viure la vida. La dansa és vida, vivim-la!
